JUNE 5 Republican Primary – Vote Ted Hruzd (May 27 update)
I ask for your vote as Morris County Republican Committee representative for District 5, includes Cromwell, Shadow Woods, and portions along Park Ave. I pledge to be an active representative and will seek your public policy perspectives continually. I am running against incumbent Phil Del Giudice. In the past 2 years I do not recall meeting him or receiving communication from him. Have you? What does he stand for? Google his name. Then google my name and find many economics letters to NJ newspapers and on-line blogging over past year. There I argue with hard details my proposals for tax reform, employment, energy, education, and health care policies. I supported Mitt Romney’s Bain Capital success in a January letter (Daily Record), explaining the positive economic role a venture capitalist plays. One of my prior roles for an investment bank was a high tech analyst for the venture capitalist business. My economic positions are open and very clear; also visit Economics501.wordpress.com.
I participated in the final public meeting prior to approval of our $33 million Morris Township budget – remarkable, only 1.9% increase, maintaining health screenings for the elderly, and wisely keeping a ‘rainy day’ account of over $2 million. Note also that NJ Dept of Transportation may finance traffic flow enhancements at Park and Columbia. Will keep all posted.

The stronger and less regulated our private economy is, the greater the economic benefits for all. NJ and especially our local municipalities can regain economic growth that for most of 2 centuries was the envy of other states. How? By rebalancing our private/public sectors enabling our private sector to again optimize wealth creation.
I will hold accountable all local, county, and state legislators and administrators for all budgets and expenditures. Being frugal, as well as working smarter not necessarily longer, have been persistent traits of mine. I demand same from our public sector! I was not happy to learn that last month Morris County Freeholders voted to increase property taxes by ½%.
Questions, comments about specific economic or tax reform issues or neighborhood issues such as the Honeywell plan? Please reach out to me at firstname.lastname@example.org; I am on ballot as Thaddeus ‘Ted’ Hruzd.
